I am a technical designer for Merlin Entertainments, where I design, build, and install electro-mechanical animatronics for global Legoland Resorts and Legoland Discovery Centres. I undertake the complete design process from concept to delivery - creating 3D CAD models; 2D drawings and technical documentation; sourcing parts; and building and testing the effects to company standard and project budgets. I am also experienced in creating layout designs for manufacture and working overseas on install - using electrical schematics and PLC programs to wire and test effects. As a result, I am successful in collaborating with contractors along with colleagues across teams, time zones, and levels within the company, as to bring designs to reality and create engaging experiences.

I graduated in 2022 from the University of Bath with a First-Class Honours Masters degree in Integrated Design Engineering. Managing projects from ideation through to creating future business cases improved my skills as a well-rounded designer. I found a passion for user-centred and product design by connecting with user groups, and realising the real-life impact of my studies as users reacted positively to developed prototypes.

I want to be continuously learning in my career - working with a company that is invested in my development as a designer, and provides the opportunity to combine my creative and technical skills on a variety of design briefs.
